My name is Josyan McGregor. As a mixed-media artist, I create intuitive artworks inspired by natural forms for collectors who appreciate textured, tactile, and layered art.

FEEL THE FEAR (AND DO IT ANYWAY)
Originally, this started out with an acrylic paint mono-print on canvas paper to which I kept layering colours with a silcone shaper tool. As if guided by unseen forces, the layers revealed an ethereal visage, enshrouded by a whirlwind of energy and chaos.

This original oil painting on a deep-profile wood cradle features a cluster of invented botanicals that bridge the gap between flora and architectural form.

Created on an iPad Pro using Procreate, these works embrace their digital origins rather than mimicking traditional media. They celebrate the medium by utilising a 3mm acrylic panel, which mirrors the inherent luminosity of the screen while lending the composition a sleek, contemporary presence.

I make it a point to select the museum-quality archival papers and entrust my fine art reproductions exclusively to local, Montreal-area printer PhotoLab Yves Thomas and high-quality framer & printer Pictorem in Longueuil. This ensures that every print preserves the depth, texture, and integrity of the original work.
